Sounds like your boy is a USBCC purebred, which is great, IMO.
Rough, Smooth, and Bearded Collies, Scotch Collies, Border Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs, Australian Shepherds, English Shepherds, Farm Collies, and a bunch of other breeds are all "collie breed" dogs, and can all be referred to as "collies" or "collie-types."

And all my Aussie pics are blurry for some reason... They're five years old (littermates), but they act like big puppies, and it is hard to get them to hold still!

It's perfectly fine! Too bad about the pictures though. I'm a herding breed enthusiast myself, they're the best!
