Grane trotted to the others. "Save your energy." She said seeing the dark stallion move away from the group. "We should attack as a group." Her ears were pinned to her head as she watched the dark stallion.

The Dark Stallion bite at the mare that intervened. "I will take no orders from anyone!' He shouts. Dust surrounds the fighting horses. "Your all just cowards!"

Bones thought this too. 'Why do they just sit on the sit lines and watch? They are part of us too, they should help fight.' In his dazed sort of state he had no clue what was happening around him, thus he did not see The Dark Stallion coming for him.

Zigzag saw this though. He had little time to think other than to turn and kick the stallion. Zigzag's back feet collide with the black stallion's face, a loud crack is heard, one that makes your stomach turn. The Dark Stallion falls, his eyes wide with terror as he lay there bleeding from his broken jaw. Zigzag steps back, afraid of what he had done.

Domino made horse squeaks again. This was so scary. She watched the Dark Stallion/Horse/Whateveritis warily.

Willow stops, standing by the Dark Stallion in horror. What had just happened?, she thinks to herself, her stomach churning.

Cinder moves away from the Dark Stallion to stand by another horse. He froe, not knowing what to do next.

Raven stops fighting, slowly moving over to the horse that had made the final blow. She stood by ZigZag, her face showing no emotion as she stared into the Dark Stallion's eyes.

Harvestmoon and Wolfsbane had been watching from the edge of the herd. Harvestmoon shifted uneasily, and Wolfsbane gritted his teeth. Janglars was trotting around the outskirts of the fight, whinnying support to the rebels. A strange fire seemed to alight in her eyes. The smell of blood was in the air, the Dark Stallion's blood. Janglars could almost taste the bitter, acrid tang. For a moment she could have sworn the dry brush and twigs crackling underfoot were the bones of the Dark Stallion, broken and stained by his blood. Battles, wars, clashes - they were what she lived for.

Wolfsbane felt queasy for a moment. The Dark Stallion was not one to fall easily - but Zigzag's aim hadn't missed. If the Dark Stallion recovered quickly, he could easily reinstall fear. If not... he would soon be overrun by the juveniles. But even then, the Dark Stallion wouldn't go down without a fight. He could just as easily crack their skulls.

Bones found that this was their chance to take back the herd that once belonged to his father. "Get out!' He yells to The Dark Stallion, raring up in a threat. The wounded stallion stands, his bleeding face hanging low in a pretend defeat. Bones lands, running at the stallion to scar him off.

The Dark Stallion almost laughed to himself. He knew that the one they called Bones would let him live for the young horses sake, that horse had always been a soft one. He runs to the edge of the herd, a plan already in his mind.

Bones snorts seeing the horse leave. He turns to the herd, joy in his heart. "And now who shall be the new leader?"

Domino horse-squeaked some more. She shrugged a bit (I know nothing about horses. Sorta. Can horses shrug?), waiting for someone to speak. She knew no-one would say anything about her. She didn't even want to be leader. (Domino always feels so insignificant. And tiny. Because she is tiny. Soo teeny tiny.)

Willow stands staring at Bones, she didn't know who would lead.

Cinder looks around the herd then to Zigzag and Bones, one of them would be leaders he thought.

Raven stares into the Dark Stallion's eyes, she knew this wasn't over. Raven moves away from them, staring at the Dark Stallion.

Grane frowned thinking. "I think we should all vote for the horse that will be the new leader. One who will fight with and for us. Who will listen to our questions and able to lead us." She said looking at every horse in the group. "And one who is trusted by all and not feared."
