As a theme breeder I sometimes am reluctant to breed my females to a male outside their theme but I will use my male themes if they breed well with others ^^ I also sell the offspring as normal pretty pets (non themed). But I do love to see what you can get!

I remember during the Spring festival I accidentally started the idea of breeding the TL and SW aeris together after just messing around in the generator.
I also remember during the last fest seeing someone incredibly distraught to discover that three of what she at first thought were SH Luffox offspring had regular parents in the mix.
I think that crossbreeding/breeding themeds to regular pets have...A lot of consequences. I think when the pet pages get revamped, and genealogy works they'll be a bit less resented. I don't do a lot of breeding. It's something I want to get more into, but I usually can't motivate myself to it. I like the themed pets because either 1. They're gorgeous. Or 2. They're worth a lot of money if I can sell them.
But I like pets in general if they're pretty. So. I think that as you're breeding themeds with other pets if they're for you, a friend, or you're going to specifically advertise that before you sell them. You're fine. But if there's no way of alerting someone to the fact they're buying what they *thought* was a pure bred themed that wasn't. Well. Then that just kind of sucks, now doesn't it?
(PS: Here's some pretty possible crossbred offspring I checked out from my pets. :D)
