Well, Senyu is complete insanity(in a comedic way) if that's what you're looking for, and Letter Bee(Tegami Bachi) has a nice plot as long as you can handle the main character being a huge crybaby. Right now I am watching One Week Friends, and it is a cute romance anime. Hope these suggestions help!

Rosario+ Vampire, and Soul Eater

I like soul eater. I wish they would continue it. But I will check out Rosario + vampire.

Personally, my favourite right now is "Mirai Nikki" ("Future Diary"). Lots of gore, explosions, and a creepy stalker girl who occasionally flips her lid and goes insane. I would rate it 16+ and easily a fourteen on a scale of one to ten. There are some 'normal' anime things i.e. no-boobs-normally-but-suddenly-has-bust-once-wearing-a-swimsuit.

WARNING: DO NOT WATCH IF:
*You are sensitive about gore/blood/someone getting their eye gouged out
*You don't like creepy stalkers
*You are sensitive to death and violence

Ouran Host Club
The characters are kinda gay

My overall favorite anime is Deathnote. However, the only other two I've read are Fruits Basket and One Piece. I haven't watched any, but I've read the manga versions for them.

Since no one has mentioned my absolute favorite anime, I'll do so:

Yu Yu Hakusho! Competed with Dragon Ball Z, same time frame. Lots of action. Demons, spirit world, comedy. The target demographic is for young boys, ages 12-16 or something, like that of DBZ. However, trust me, there are more than enough fan girls enjoying it for many a year now.

Aside from that.. I spent a lot of time compiling a new list for my own benefit. And in this post, I was going to break it down by genre and post descriptions.. But it's late and I am lazy. So here is the list, and I would suggest looking up their intros on youtube and just go down the list. (Which is exactly what I did.) You get a good idea from just that. And in case you skip the list because it's so overwhelming, if you're looking to be an author.. Check out "Dojin Work" It is one of the funniest anime I've ever seen, and it's pretty interesting.

I know that a few of these on the list other people have said. And most (if you can tell by the name) have not yet been licensed, and therefore will be subbed and probably have to be downloaded. (Although, I did find most all of these on walmart.com)
