The problem with 2 separate boards is that people with ranked lvl 75s battling in tier 1 will have an advantage and there may even be some bullying going on when people (maybe me, ok likely me) lvl up teams of pets to be able to knock out battles faster. I would be utilising my time more efficiently and shouldn't be penalised for it right? It really does sound like my lvl 30 teams are redundant now. They can't battle in tier 2-5 and are less effective in tier 1. So I guess I should replace my teams instead buying potions to give them xp flowing again

I can make it so that the Tier 1 Leaderboard requires using pets that are Level 0-59 (or 60) only.

At the end of the day, yes, veteran players will absolutely always have the advantage over newer players. That will never change unless I literally made a Leaderboard where there was a limitation on what kind of player you are (like less than 30 days or something). I don't plan on doing anything like that, so yes, veteran players will always have the advantage just by having more resources, more access to pets, etc.

However, I can also adjust the pet prizes so that the Tier 2-5 Leaderboard has better prizes to offer than the Tier 1 Leaderboard. This will incentivize veteran players to try for the better prizes and not waste time on the lower tier.

I have extended the Festival by an additional week. Forum Games will still end after Monday, January 20th. However, the Festival will now soft close after Sunday, January 26th and fully close after Sunday, February 2nd. The Snow Wars Leaderboard will now also extend through Sunday, January 26th. It is unfortunately automatically tied to the Festival soft close.

Additionally, we will be having another Diamond Sale, Double XP Boost Event, Themed Pet Encounter Boost Event, and Extra Treasure Boost Event starting Wednesday, January 15th and lasting through Monday, January 20th.

The Festival Overview has been updated with this information.

Thank you and enjoy!

I don't post very often on the forums but just with the level 30, level 75 etc. My account is at level 75 but I always use level 30 pets in the festival zones, including against the named opposition (switching out never occurred to me).

I've not been able to explore the zone much this time half because of work and half because I the nerve issues in my arm have flared up and too much battling aggravates it. But I have a disability that impacts my logistics and navigation and I already find the zone next to impossible to find my way around. Having my max team in there at the same time just makes all the encounters more difficult and just adds to my annoyance xD. It is always more luck than judgement if I even find a Named, let alone battle them.

I will probably explore the festival zones less in future if playing entirely with a level 30 team means an effective sanction.

Re the drop rate of the themed during the event, I have found them generally low and have had to use multiple perfumes with little result. Despite being told from other encounters that my attraction level had boosted, the data on the bottom of my screen said 0% the whole time and didn't increase at all. The themed attraction went to 100% but the other didn't.

I wonder whether that is connected to people's low drop rate experience or whether this has already been tweaked, so now shows properly. I've not been in the zone this week because work and above concerns.

Going back to lurking now. :) Please don't ping :) I just wanted to raise these things. Thank you :)

Thank you for your feedback and perspective.

With the Challenge Tiers now, you should be able to use your max level team and just choose whichever Tier you are most comfortable with battling on. If that's just Tier 1, there's nothing wrong with that. A Lvl 75 team shouldn't have any issues on Tier 1 as enemies will be capped at Lvl 59.

Regarding the Attraction Bonus, it takes a bit of effort to boost it up. Whenever you see that you gained Attraction Bonus, sometimes it's just literally +1. The percentage displayed in the window just increments by 5% at a time. So until you accumulate enough to get to 5%, it will display as 0%. And then the next update will be once you hit 10%, etc. The Attraction Bonus, coupled with the event's Themed Pet Boost, constitute for a TON of your chance of encountering Themed Pets during the event. A player with maxed Attraction Bonus and the event at 100% for the Themed Pet Boost will encounter Tyrielle's Minion Themed Pets more often than regular Themed Pets by a considerable amount - just to give a reference.

All of that said, it's still a new feature and I'm sure it will continue to evolve Festival to Festival. Just keep hammering away and providing feedback and I will continue to flesh it out.

Just a quick update. I have put [Perfume of Themed Attraction] on sale for the duration of the Diamond Sale. Any player who purchased them since the Diamond Sale began received a reimbursement.

Also, tomorrow is the last day of the Final Round of this Festival's Leaderboard Contests! I know that the Challenge Tier changes have altered the Leaderboard Contest experience so I will be looking to adjust them in the future starting with the Spring Festival.

Hey Krin, there was a diamond sale earlier this fest as well, and the perfumes were set at 150 dias. Are those considered in the reimbursement or were those perfumes meant to be 150 dias at that time?

They are not, no. It only applies to the sale that began yesterday.
