They seam to represent various flying creatures, uppon closer inspection they look alot like butterfly only oversize and with various others body parts.

You finaly went outside of the archive and you find yourself in a forest of cristals. The gems growing on the hard wood of the trees were silently sparkling from light of an unnown source as small furry creature were quietly gliding among the leaves.
