"Good grief!"

Robbie stood inside the front door, a backpack flung over his shoulder, his green eyes wide with shock.


Ethan released Lise, jerking his head toward the shout. Blood smeared his lips. Seeing Robbie, he hissed and--theres no other way to put it--scuttled away from them and up the stairs, vanishing from sight.

Lise immediately collapsed, seeing that she literally just got bit. It took a lot from her to not start crying.

Isiea chases after him without a second thought, visibly angry.

Robbie crossed the room in three strides and knelt beside her. Briskly, as if he'd done this kind of thing before, he began rolling up the cuff of one pant leg.

She dashed up the stairs, searching angrily for the monster who attacked her sister.

"Hold on a second, okay?" He said to Lise quietly before going after Isiea. "Stop!" He attempted to grab her and stop her

She pushes him away and keeps searching.

She tried not to focus on the growing pain in her leg, clenching her jaw tightly.

He keeps trying to stop her. "Listen! We can deal with the changeling later, okay? For now, we need to tend to your sister, don't you think?"
