Quickly deciding to cut the pigeon into quarters I give 1/4 to Essix save one quarter for her later and cook the other two now

Puddle blinks and twists it's mouth into a kinda expression. Points to the bubble and nods. Points to the flying image and shakes head.
Once again, it points to the bubble, placed deliberately in front of the flying image, and draws 1 long line under them both, connecting them.
Puddle taps under the line, and gestures to the whole thing, then points to itself.
``Im sorry, i can't understand. Why don't i ask you questions and you draw a check mark or X.``

(This dove provides 2 meals. So 2 small dove meat= 1 meal. Essix eats half of a meal, so you have 1 and 1/2 meals from the dove left.)
It's not too hard to find dry wood, and soon you have a fire going. It takes a while, but eventually you have succeed in cooking 1 meal.
You spent 2 small dove meat
You gained 1 meal
Essix has fallen asleep while waiting, and is now perched on a log, head under wing.
"Do you know how to get back to where you live?" Featherdust asks, sounding concerned.
"no" I say sadly, "Can I stay with you Featherdust?" I ask timidly
