Vyrhys shouts as he sees Ella open the portal and disappear. He stops suddenly and Akila goes careening into him, both falling over in the snow.

Ella kicks the penny closing the portal picking it up "leave me alone you ruined me, you ruined everything, thats why your parents are monsters just like you!" she growled taking control of herself and flipping the coin at the base sliding in

The portal pops up and Vyrhys and Akila leap to their feet. "Well then!" They both ready their weapons, glaring at one another.
"I can't believe I have to work with you."
Isn't it fun?
"No."
They focus on the imminent fight.
The portal closes anticlimactically.
"Wow, waste of a good punchline."
...punchline? What's that?

Her base was metal, cold, and dark and had that smell that you get in a hospital. Ella was in a room with drawings on the wall. It was of a little girl with blue skin and hair. How she was allowed to see sunlight for the first time in 15 years.
