Puck wonders what the smell is as he looks around

"Are you two lost?"

An annoyed voice growls behind them. A trio of armored kitsunes are glaring at them irritably. The speaker, a grey-runed fox with four tails, has small wisps of fire curling around her paws, as if considering burning the two faes.

"Nope. Not lost. We're looking for Kerri."

All three foxes bristle at the name. The leader lets out a low growl. "He is dead. And he should stay that way!" She then sharply bites Lin's leg. "And neither of you are any more welcome to be here than he was!"

"Hey! If you so much as touch her again, I'll destroy your little home here. Don't make me do it. C'mon, princess. It obvious these people are hangry and I don't have snickers, either."

She quickly nods. The only problem is, the foxes are blocking the way they'd come, and neither of them have ever been here before.

"Hey, in case you guys haven't noticed, we're kind of on a search and rescue mission. And it's fairly important. So if you guys could just move out of our way?" He asked politely, but there was a glint in his eyes that said it was about to get anything but polite

They don't. In fact, the leader calls something in the kitsunes' native language, and he hears pawsteps heading their way.

Puck gets his daggers. He was ready for a fight.

The problem is, he can't stand- he can crouch at best. And, even without turning around, it's easy to tell that there's now kitsunes blocking both sides of the hallway.
