One of the cubs wakes up and lets out a tiny speak that's a little like a deeper version of a kitten's mew. It stretches out its little neck to try and sniff Silver.

The vixen yaps softly at her cub, and it sits back down. The mother moves her bushy tail around it in a protective manner.

The vixen lays down her head closer to the entrance, gazing at Silver. It's almost like an offer to be pet. Luna continues stroking the fox's brownish-black ears.

The fox yawns, then drags herself out of her den. By dragging meaning she uses just her two front legs, because she's missing her left hind leg. There's only a tiny stump where it should be. There's no scar, so she must have just been born three-legged.
