Knuckles veered sharply. Destroying a city was bad, but the sheer nerve to invade his territory? That made things personal. He could sense the Master Emeralds energy course through the ground... it was refreshing in a way, and filled him with a new found vigor, the pain from earlier disappeared. He glanced back at Pearl. "Would you pick up the pace?!" He said urgently.
Sonic zipped after Knuckles and Pearl, still holding Shadow's wrist...

Knuckles pulled up next to them. "That is also true, not to mention thay even if I had the energy to pull it off, it's overly risky. Power like that..." he shuddered. "...Can be hard to contain, so it ends up messing with your head and can actually hurt you physically after a while... and we do not need another Infinite, thank you very much,"

Knuckles truned around slowly, back to the Emerald, to face the opponent. "Get lost, you thief," Knuckles growled at the Jackal.
