"I hope so..." Maribel panted some before crying out in pain. The first kit was a full fox though it was dead as the female had said. It was a healthy baby boy though he never drew a breath. The second, a lynx, was as well dead though it seemed to have been a bit on the small side. The last was a female, half fox, half lynx, the only to be alive when she was born. She was half the size she should have been, but she was determined to hold onto life:

"Why should you care................ all I want is to be alone and mourn........." Jane cried.

"It's okay...... only one lived..... it's a girl." Shadow said.

"As you wish ma'am I'll be right outside if you need anything." The guard said walked back out into the night to stand watch over the den.

"That's-nice." Maribel said weakly looking at her new daughter. "She's-beautiful..."

"Oh my................... Cian....................................... I will name these two..................... the male one is Gale while the female is Ravi.............. oh Cian..........." Jane cried herself to sleep.

"Maribel we should get back to camp." Shadow said.

The guard couldn't help but over hear this. His leader, his trainer even was gone leaving behind a broken family. The wolf raised his head in a howl to sing a sad and mournful song for the new mother.

"You go on ahead...I need to rest a bit." The fox said closing her eyes as she drifted off into the after life having bled to death.

Amber was about to reply to her sweet little bunny mate when she heard Katana's chirp. Her ears tensed, and putting a paw on her mate's lips, she sent a coo, which said "Investigate and report", and took her paw off of Rafe's lip. "Katana, the first animal's den I showed you, seems to think something is off around BluMoon. Anyways, what do you think went wrong the first time?" she questioned the bunny in front of her.

Kall heard the song. Mournful, regret, sadness, abandonment? He didn't know what this was, but he knew someone had died, and he threw his head back in a howl. His was a low octave, a sound full of mourn, like a passageway to heaven for the fallen spirit.

"I don't think I found the right place..." He admitted sadly his little ears back. "And you were asleep so I didn't want to wake you." He looked up at her sadly. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to make sure I did it right, but I only messed up more. I went in the wrong place, that could have hurt you...I should have waited. Could I try again? This time with you awake to tell me where to go?"

The guard drew his breath lower, making a sound like the wind wiping through the tree limbs of a dead tree. Myles perked his ears up when someone joined in his song. Was there another that was lost and confused? He couldn't leave to check, but maybe they would come closer if he called them.
