seeing the anger and pain in Raja's eyes reminded Stray of some one she knew a long time ago the wolf was black like Raja but darker and a lot more viscous but her memories of this wolf were strong and good and she knew exactly what he was going threw

She couldn't stop herself from nuzzling his neck in the most confident and reassuring way as possible this male was not like any other she had met and in a day turned her whole world in on itself and she still wasn't sure how to feel about that

Stray tried to get up and grab the deer haunch she had torn off but her leg hurt to much and she was so weak from the fight and hunger and now she was getting thirsty her strength for the first time in her life failed her and her legs gave out

She as gracefully as possible caught herself before she hit the ground but she knew there was no way Raja hadn't seen it and there was no way that she could conceal her true weakness anymore and yet she was still oddly calm did she trust Raja this much the thought terrified her but she pushed it from her mind what was she to do now but wait and see what Raja would do at her enormous show of weakness

Raja stilled completely when she nuzzled him. He truly did not know how to react to this kind of stuff. Even he and Rikki rarely showed affection unless the other needed it. His sister went of of his emotions so he could usually keep her calm enough. When Stray got up he relaxed his body just a bit, then she fell. The way she did it told him everything he needed to know. She was putting up a front in her exhaustion to hide away how truly in pain and weary she really was. Raja got up and walked over to the torn leg. He bit into the warm flesh and tore away a decent chunk. He then walked over to Stray and dropped it near her face. " You need to eat and rest. You look to tired to stand so I will help." Raja let his tone become just the slightest bit more commanding. For this was not the first time he had to do this, after they escaped the massacre of their pack Rikki had been injured. Scar had shredded his sister before Rago had gotten to them. Raja had needed to take care of his sister and even help feed her till she was strong enough to walk." If you think about your pride right now I will say dont, I have done this before...You need help and im offering it." His large head turned away as he got another chunk to eat for himself. Something to ease her and make it at least a little more normal.

Stray just looked at the chunk of meat on the ground then back at Raja she held his gaze for a time before he spoke and when he did his tone seamed commanding and more harsh Stray's own weakness scared her to begin with but this was to much for her to handle the way he tried to tell her what to do scared her she had always been strong enough to deal with anything he fear built and as she started into his eyes she could feel her own growing larger

her fear drove her losing all rational thought she did the only thing she could she tried with everything she was to stand she fought for almost ten minutes before she was finally able to stand

She scented the air and smelled them a family of rabbits close by and like lightning she was off she ran as if her leg didn't hinder her at all not even trying to be sneaky

she chased the rabbit for what seemed like hours but had only been 5 minutes the taste of fresh blood in her mouth brought her back to her senses she was no longer the crazed wolf hunting when there was a whole deer in front of her she had calmed form that state though the way she stood and ate the small rabbit said it all

that she was still terrified her movements were jumpy and every sound made her stop and look around when she was done with the small rabbit she walked back over tho Raja and still standing began to much on the chunk of deer he had brought her she couldn't lay down she knew if she did she wouldn't be able to get back up on her own her legs shook with the effort to hold her after

Raja blinked, looking after the spot she disappeared to. She was over reacting to something he did, and he immediately knew what. He sighed, he didnt always mean to act so gruff. He was still used to the tough wolf life. Tough and mean was how your survived. However, with his sister he had learned the toughest of creatures sometimes needed the gentlest gestures. His ears twitched when she came back and he stared silently at her for sometime as she munched on the deer with an odd and jumpy manner. " Stray, I...I'm sorry if I came across a bit harsh I had to be really gruff and mean to survive where I have come from." He sat and licked his muzzle free of any blood that may have remained. " I even sometimes need to be harsher with my sister to get through to her. So i thought maybe that way you would respect and listen, but I assume in this particular situation gentleness may be the better option." Raja lowered his large head to her eye level as she ate with her head a little lower. He smiled, even if weakly to show her he was willing to try kind gestures. " I do need you to lay down tho. If you really want to leave this territory at in date in the near future rest is vital." Raja tore away another large chunk of meat and again laid it before her but was cautious with his movements, her jumpiness was a sign. Rikki had hers in spades and it was one of the reason he was not scarred his her punishing bites. Even a alpha was punished if he angered an alpha born female...He nudged the meat closer to her with his nose before moving a little ways away to giver her some space.

the look in his eyes was to much it wasn't him it was her it was her weakness and her realization of how weak she really was that scared her but she didn't know how to tell him that

When he left another chunk of meat she was great full but when he moved away.... she wondered if she had scared him something she often did

She stared at him for a long time unwilling to move unwilling to speak and when she did her voice came in so quiet it came out as a whisper "I can't" that is all she said before angerly tearing into the bit of deer he had brought her

His ears turned toward her in a silent recognition. " Cant what, if its laying down I know you can you have done it before." His head swiveled toward her direction before his gaze took in her form. Getting up he moved toward her. The he turned around and they were side to side, head to head. He took a deep breath to relax himself and to erase any emotion she would be able to tell with his body langue. He slowly leaned toward her, a uncontrolable shudder raked down his spine. He chose to ignore it and leaned a little more so that they were touching and she could now lean on him so that he could slowly help her lay down. " Will this work for you." His long muzzle brushed her face as he turned to talk to her. For the first time in his life his heart beat as wildly as if he was on a hunt, but it was just he and Stray...

Stray lifted her head and gave Raja a questioning look his closeness was making her uncomfortable but strangely to her not in a bad way "i...I can't" she said again "It...it is to open here....and i...i don't think i will have the strength to stand again even with your help" she looked at him and a look of Pure Shame radiated from her as joy once had but this time it was more like a darkness snuffing out any light until nothing was left

She needed to rest and she knew it but she also knew that resting out in the open was a bad idea and every instinct told her to find a cave or a glade something protected and defensible she knew she might be stuck her for a long while with her hip in the condition it was she decided she would tell him on the walk to a cave if he intended to let her stay that long she almost hoped he wouldn't but she wanted to stay as well she wanted to be close to him to solve the mystery that is Raja

The thought of finding out all his secrets mad her smile that devilish and foxy smile but only for a split second because her legs began to shake and the smile was again replaced with Pure shame and disgust in herself

He smiled at her warmth ans assurance flowing from him. He hopped she would relax from his emotions he tried to send to her. " Stray, as much as I would love to give you that particular desire I cant." His large head swung around and pointed out in ever direction. " This is the only cover of any kind for many miles, and you in no condition to be going farther than even that." He kept his tone neutral, for he was sure she wasn't like Rikki in this respect. Stray was an entity of her own and easily enough could make and hold her own her emotions. So he didn't giver her much to feed off of other then his silent assurance and the calm that natural radiated from him unless otherwise really upset. He took another deep breath as he said " Stray this will be the place you rest for at least a day, but don't worry." He grinned in a boyish manner, his alpha ego peaking out just the tiniest bit. " There is enough food so you don't need to hunt for a while and I am not going to leave you,Plus i am a great protector." His black tail gave a half way and he cursed himself silently. That sounded a bit too much like he was trying to say something other than he could actually protect her if needed...What was going on with him?

Stray's tail twitched back and forth like that of melancholy cat she hated this idea and every fiber of he being screamed to find a dark quiet cave she knew the nearest one was over a mile away and she could have made the journey if she really wanted to but Raja's voice was full of a calm cool confidence and he promised not to leave her though in her experience a promise meant nothing but the thought of him being close to her...

She did the one thing her instincts screamed not to do she choose to stay here with Raja but what of his sister she had to ask she had to be sure before she allowed herself the smallest of comforts

Stray leaned on Raja a little before asking the all important question

"What of your sister won't she come looking for you or won't you have to go to her at some point my hip is broken and i don't know if i lay down how soon i will be able to move again but it feels like a long time and remember there is that other male here as well"

He looked at her as she begun to laugh. The laugh however didnt seem joyfull, rather a bit ... stiff almost. As she finaly spoke he raised his head looking at her. A bit pussled by her words he layed down his head, letting hi ear rest to the sides while thinking. Was she serious? She had after all seemed really really angry earlier as she had stood up to her brother. Slightly confused as to what to say. He honestly didnt know how to respond to that. As she went flying through the air, growling he gave upp a surpriced and somewhat scared sound. He hadnt noticed that she was crawling towards him. Staring up at her with wide eyes he tried to calm his heavy breathing before wagging his tail a bit as he feelt her tail hit him gently. With a small smile he gently rubbed his head against hers. It kinda felt right to do so say.
