I look through the chest for some comfortable looking clothes

there were an array of hoodies and comfortable clothes, but at the back was a uniform of sorts, it was black and gray with a white neck scarf, and a scarlet emblem on the shoulder of a long sleeve jacket.

I put on the uniform, but look for a long hoodie to cover it up
