50 blinked, then opened its mouth and shot a stream of atomic energy at you.
It didn't touch.
49 had jumped up and blocked the hit with his own body. He roared in pain as his scales began to deteriorate, and when 50 ended his blast, he fell on all fours. He looked at Solar and whispered, *Solar. You must kill him. This isn't game. He real. He want to kill you. You must kill him, then flee. More experiments will come. So, kill 50, then run. In last minutes of life, promise me.* he gasped and fell into his stomach. *promise me you do that.*

" i promise. I will kill him. " I looked up at 50. It just stared at me back. I turned towards Lance. " get out of here! both of you go. " Lanai looks at me, but then looks back at Lance. She follows him through a portal, and they both vanish.

I moved out of the way, and the blast instead went into the trees. I turned back towards 50, and ran towards him. I stopped, 10 feet away and blasted a stream fire at him.
