"No..... never!" Jane growled.

"I am so sorry.........." Shadow said. "I............ shouldn't even....... be here......"

"Then keep going and don't leave this halfway done!" Cian couched.

"Shadow don't leave me please. I wanted this I really did, I didn't know that it would have worked so well the first time." Maribel said with a kind smile. She put a hand on his face wincing some at the movement of it. Falling back to the ground she panted.

"Please............. it hurts..........." Jane tries. "Are you sure everything is going to be okay?"

"I won't leave if you don't want me to." Shadow said. "Now let's get back to camp even if I have to carry you."

"It's normal Jane." Cian insured rubbing his face on hers. "You can do this I believe you can." Suddenly a guard came to the door.
"Cian! We need you on the east wall! We have intruders!" The guard panted before running off to help the others. The tiger looked at Jane before standing.
"Stay here, this will only take a moment."

"No, no it's safer to stay here. I don't have long before the kits come I don't think." Maribel panted wincing some. "Something isn't right...."

"No...... please don't leave.................." Jane whimpers.

"What do you mean something isn't right?" Shadow asked. "Please tell me. I don't like this."

"I have to...but I'll be right back I promise." Cian said kissing her muzzle before leaving the den. Little did he know that he wouldn't be right back. That was the last he would see if his mate. The guard returned to the den a hand over the wound on his shoulder. His eyes were full of tears as he approached Jane.
"I'm sorry ma'am..." He said quietly. "He's not coming back..."

"It doesn't feel right..." Maribel said trying to sit up only to fall back down in pain. "I think one of the kits is-is dead...I can't tell though."

"What.......................... he............. he................ he must................." Jane whimpered.

"It's okay..............." Shadow said. "I really don't feel safe here.. something isn't right.."

Katana noticed quite a bit of movement and commotion from Blumoon she wasn't sure what to do so she let ot a few loud chirps to signal Amber

"I'm sorry miss." The guard said in a sad tone as he looked up at her. "We tried to save him but it was too late. He died with honor though..."

"Well I can't leave! Not until I have these kits." Maribel winced. She started to pant rapidly as she went into labor. "God now?!"

"Why............." Jane cried. Her last cub had been born and she hugged them closely. "Just.......... leave................ just............ go....................."

Shadow held Maribel's hand. "You will be okay. I know you will." Shadow said.
