I've tried this, the issue with it is that you won't be able to see still. I thought it might work, so i tried with a pet that should have a vis, when it grew up it had the vis but the pic won't show, although someone has started a free genetic testing service.
The pic won't show either because you did not test it. You cannot show an image with her with ethereal wings or any other trait showing if it's carrying or you did not test it, unless it's in the gene column.

My third 4-vis! And one that I've been wanting ever since I made Liam 134 days ago. D: Plus she carries Ornate Armor (bleh), so she'll be an amazing breeder.
A 3-vis, 3-carry! She'll be bred with her... nephew. Who is also older. D': The things we do to these pets, I swear, and all for a 6-vis.

I am amazingly happy with this baby, she came as a shock after I got her tested:
While its hard to see her highlights, she is my first 4-vis Qitari. She will have Unicorn Horn, Pegasus wings and Carousel when she grows up.
This guy is already grown up but surprised the heck out of me:
He is a 2-Vis, 4- Carry!
I don't know how this one happened:
She carries Jaguar in Gene 1 and 2 but her mother has Bengal in one and nothing in two. Her dad has nothing in one and Jaguar in two. I really don't know how she got two Jaguar!

@Kirasmala , that would confuse me a bunch in the past! My harlequin lups would keep passing down doberman, and I was like "what on earth it this." I figured it out- let's say you breed a male that has Jaguar in slot one and a female that has Bengal in slot one. What does the offsping show? One of the genes (looks like Bengal) will be the dominant gene, and that will be what shows on the offspring. However, they will carry Jaguar in that slot, and potentially pass it down to offspring. Looks like mama was carrying jaguar, recessive to her bengal!
