She nodded. She was definitely not prepared at all for any of this, but she didn't have much of a choice. She had to save Ethan and Isiea had to kill Machina.

Isiea watches the piskie.

They followed the bobbing light toward the banks of the river, where the cold, slow waters of the Mississippi churned under a slate-gray sky. Ash didnt speak much. He walked beside them.

She didn't say a word and simply followed the piskie to her possible doom.

Isiea rides on Ares.

A corrugated-steel building squatted behind a chain-link fence, a dark smudge against the sky. Seedlit jabbered something to Ash, who nodded gravely before she zipped away out of sight. She had brought them as far as she could go; now they were on our own.


As they approached the gate, Ash hung back a little, a pained look on his face, and Ares obviously didn't feel the most comfortable here.

Isiea thinks for a very long moment. "..Ares should probably stay here."

She couldn't help but feel a bit bad for Ash.

"Yeah, probably," Ash replied. "Unless you want him dead."

She hops down from Ares.
