Ace nodded, looking confused. He stood up, wobbling a bit. He put a hand to the collar on his neck.
"Where are we?"

Ru finally made it outside, placing Aro on the grass. He was still limp, much to her dismay.
"No no no... it has to work, it has to," She whispered.

"At the Dragon Temple." He explained, keeping his wings around but not on Ace.

Jason followed her. "Having trouble?" He asked.

Ace nodded again, "Why are we here," He leaned against Sharkfin's wing, a friendly smile on his face.

"Shut up! You don't know anything..." She hissed trailing off as she turned back to watch Aro, "Please be okay," She whispered.

Sharkfin didn't smile back, remembering what Ace had said. "We're supposed to take care of Ru."

Jason shook his head, walking up besides her. "You made a big mistake."

"Ah, her! I got this! Totally got this," Ace chirped as he stood up, fire covering him seconds, he seemed to be struggling though, "Why am I not switching forms...?"

"No I didn't... he'll be fine," She sobbed as she started to cry, though no tears fell from her poisoned eye.

"The collar. Besides, it's safer for you and those around anyway." Sharkfin said, pulling his wing away.

"That's what you want to think." Jason said, sitting by her. "But power has clouded your judgment."

Ace growled, trying to pull it off. He couldn't, of course, but that didn't stop him from trying. His fire went out as he fell to his knees.
"How can I f-fight... without my... powers," He didn't even realize tears where running down his face.

"No... he'll be okay. God was... he was fine," She whispered putting a hand on her black eye as it throbbed painfully.

Sharkfin gently put a talon to Ace's back. "You don't have to fight, Jason is handling it."

"But God is God. You aren't God, you controlled your brothers death ... but you can't control if he comes back." Jason said, putting a wing over Ru. "Trust me, I've tried with my own magic. I can heal, I can't bring others back."

"Wh-hat about... Penny," He whispered looking so sad, like his heart was torn to pieces, "The city... it's in danger!"

"But I will be! Then I can save him. That's what happened in the story! I'll bring him back," She whispered hissing in pain as the poison spread, "Too late..."

"Trisha and Krill are handling Penny." He said, feeling bad for Ace but not as bad as he would've before.

"It's just a story." He said, gripping the bone.
