Scar curled up. He could see her in his head.

Ela pondered on that, but soon dozed off. Jia had taken care of the other patients and put a bowl of hot chicken soup on the small table by Ela.

Scar wondered about Ela. He wanted to see her. To tell her how he felt.

Jia had been on break, reading a book while nomming on ramen noodles.

Scar hoped Ela didn't hate him

Ela woke up, and after talking with Jia they concluded she was free to go out. Ela went to her house, making herself lunch and then going to bed.

Scar started to get worried about her but this dismissed the idea. He went out and sat down by the lake. He sat in a tree.

The lake was fenced and covered in a plastic sheet, no doubt made to keep out visitors and keep in the croacks.

Scar sighed and closed his eyes.

A few birds were joking around while tanning, one whispering something and pointed to the hospital. "Did you hear that they refused to take in the otters?" And a shushed reply and more whispering.
