"I don't like her attitude." Emily whispered a bit too loudly to Emma, her eyes still on you. "You sure about having her in the games? I don't know how the others would see her."
"But, there's nothing we can do..." Emma replied, watching you. "Be nicer, Shuri." She seemed less friendly and there was a dark undertone in her voice when you spoke the way you did to her friend.
"You know what, I'll take you to our next round." Emily said suddenly to you. "But once we're in, you're on your own."
Emma looked surprised. "I'm coming as well!"
"Then she's going to have to take someone else's place." Emily kept half stare half glaring at you. "Next round has us with Mr. Pierson and Mr. Riley, one of them has to go."
"Pierson, duh." Emma spat. "He's disgusting. I'll go tell him he's out." She gave Emily one last pat on the arm and exited the room, leaving Emily and you alone. Emily did not seem very happy about that.

((This is not a present day RPG. We are in the time where cars and horse carriages are both being used.))
I'll assume you took a cab.
You successfully hail a cab, the horses clopping up to you with a toss of their heads, the driver behind them looking at you curiously. "Well, young lady, where to?"

((Please, please quote or bold. Maybe I seem picky, but it helps with my narrating.))
He raises an eyebrow in surprise as you climb the carriage. "The haunted house?" He chuckled. "Sure, whatever you do is none of my business." He flicks the reins and the carriage lurches forwards before continuing to move more smoothly.

Nobody responds to you. However, there seems to be the sound of laughter from a young female child coming from the second landing, somewhere you would need to take the stairs to get too. Everywhere else seemed really dark, so you would need a light source.
You could also explore the rooms on the first landing if you wish.
I go towards the lamp I saw earlier to try and see if I can take it with me.

"I have to go to the haunted house to do my job"I explain "thanks for taking me with out asking too many questions"

It's free standing of the banister, so you pick it up no problem. It feels old, but sturdy and the candle inside is burning brightly, throwing out a small halo of light. It was enough to light a very small section around you, but anything more and you only see vague shapes of doors.

He shrugged. "I mean, it's rumoured to be haunted. Nobody knows for sure. After all, a broken down unused mansion seems kind of haunted to me."
The entire church was surrounded by gravestones and crooked trees, no house.
When you headed down the main road, you reach a pair of crooked iron gates, one of then hanging off of its hinges, allowing you into the garden beyond. The garden didn't look any better, it was full of dead weeds and other withered plants. In the center of the place, there was a broken down mansion that had seen better days.
I drive up to the mansion then cut the ignition, putting the keys into my pocket and heading up the steps to the doors and knocking

I sigh and slump over trying to seem defeated "Sorry about my attitude I'm just stressed, I mean last thing I know I'm in a broken down home next thing I'm here It's disorienting" I was sincere in this much at least.
