Rhythm paused for a moment to process this new information.
She then gave a curtly smile and said, "Thank you very much for answering your interor- I mean my questions," she made a joking/ nervous laugh after she said this.
"Now how about we try and to cheer up that sad looking Rainwing? It must of had been really hard, what she went through..."

"I'm not sure, but I can sympathize, I've lost a lot too, my father died when I was only one or two..." Coastal said, remembering the first time she was able to really meet her father.

"Daddy?" Coastal asked carefully, coming out of hiding. Coastal knew her father was a Seawing, but she was never allowed to meet him, just watch from a distance, hiding somewhere, as her mother always made her. The Seawing glared at her "Who would you be?" He asked, before looking up quickly. "Yucca, my love, there's a strange dragonet here, she called me 'Daddy' Yucca, would you like to explain something?" The giant Seawing asked, pushing his way into her room. He stared shocked as he saw Yucca, her mother, holding two eggs. "Puddle, I'm sorry, you should've known sooner, but that" Her mother said, motioning to her, "Is your daughter, Coastal" Yucca told him. He stared, shocked, and somewhat angered. "This? You never told me about this?!" He roared. Her mother looked over with fear, preparing to defend her daughter with her life. "Daddy w-what are you doing?" Coastal asked as she looked up terrified, staring into her father's eyes, they were dark, like hers, except her father didn't have the white pupils she had. He stared at her with pure hatred,
but his expression quickly softened seeing her fear. "Yucca, my love, I'm sorry, it's just, well, my powers, being an animus and using my magic has taken a lot out of my soul" He apologized, carrying Coastal as he approached Yucca. His expression changed again, to an emotion Coastal couldn't identify "Which is why I can do this happily" He said, his claws plunging into Coastal's body as Yucca's tail barb plunged straight into his heart, he died almost instantly.

"It'll be okay Coastal, mommy will make you better" Her mother wept as she started digging through a pouch,
she was crying, Coastal wanted to make her feel better, but she couldn't move, she hurt so much. "He knew this would happen, he made me things for when he lost his soul, okay my little one, this will hurt a little, just a pinch" She said reassuringly. Coastal felt something pierce her ear, he felt the wounds on her heal, the scars would remain later in her life, deep gashes made scars on her side. Coastal felt her strength return, she quickly stood up, wobbling over to her mother. "It's okay mommy, I love you" Coastal said, hugging her mother. "Coastal, stay with your siblings, I need to take care of this" Yucca told her daughter, hugging her before putting her near the eggs, she grabbed one of the limbs of the Seawing, dragging him away.

"Beach!" Coastal suddenly blurted, the ocean blue egg near her hatched, a dragon that looked completely Sandwing, except for the wave shaped frills on his back, the striped horns, and the eyes of a Seawing. "You are Beach" Coastal said to her newly hatched brother.


Coastal could never look back at her brother's hatching without reminding herself of the trauma she went through as a baby. Her claws grazed over the blue opal bracelet her mother gave her when she had turned 7, she was sure it was a gift from her father to her mother, now passed down to her. She was sure there was an enchantment on it, but she wasn't sure of what was there, she was doubting there even was something on it.

"Anyways" Coastal said, coming out of her brief trance "I have no clue how to cheer her up" Coastal said.

She pondered, thinking of how to excite a Rainwing in a depression and who was also away form her colorful home. Then it came to her.
"Oh! I think that I've just thought of something. We could try and to gather a bouquet of beautiful flowers to give her and also give the speech about how there's 'sunshine in the rain'," Rhythm said to her friends.

"Well, I think she could do without the speech, and I can do this" Coastal said, some scales lighting up a deep teal against her pale yellow/green body. "It's a Seawing thing" Coastal said, flashing a few scales at a time, seemingly straining herself to light up as many as possible.

Ink sighed. "Yes, I am. No, I am not illigitimate, a spy, being blackmailed, animus-touched, or whatever else you've heard. I just don't like killing things. It seems wrong."

Ibis was growing increasingly suspicious as the others kept looking back at her while whispering. Were they going to kill her? Should she go find Monsoon? She instead began shifting her scales to try to blend in with what was behind her. Altough they got the shading and texture right, they reamined mostly a greyish hue, meaning she was no where near becoming invisible. She sighed and gave up.

((Oh gosh I'm sorry, I didn't reread it last night so my spelling was HORRIBLE I'm sorry, I'm used to autocorrect.))

"All righty then! You do that while Blizzard and I will go flower gathering. Maybe Darkness and the other Rainwing can join once they finish their chat too, " Rhythm beamed and set off to find the lovely flowers at Burstwing speeds. During said event, she became a little hungry and caught herself a snack.

"Right" Coastal said, carefully sneaking over to Ibis through the water, almost undetectable if you weren't looking for her. "Surprise!" She roared, jumping from the water, flashing her bright scales in swirling patterns along her body.

"Oh, what, okay," Blizzard said, blinking as he returned from the depths of his brain. He began to chase after Rhythm, gathering up random flowers as he passed them by. Speaking of which... He opened the leather bag Glace had given him when he accepted the apprenticeship. Inside it were three of the pale purple flowers he had told the two dragonesses about. "Perhaps she would like these," he wondered aloud.

"I'm not calling you fake, or anything of the sort. I understand. Now go be a brother," she said, gently pushing him toward Ibis.

Delta searched about in the muddy terrain, looking for her stick, She had lost it, and she was using it to draw a pretty drawing of Dragonfly and her sister Deer.
Looking up into the sky, she sighed loudly. How am I going to draw when I can't even find my stick for it!? She thought angrily, extending her white talons into the wet earth.
She heard a call from behind her, seeing that Deluge had hie claws on her shoulder.
"Hey Delta," He paused for a moment. As if in thought. "Beetle says we need to check the borders, something about the queen saying that someone is out to steal one of the Mudwings."
What's that all about? She thought, getting up and letting the mud slide off her tail, which was sitting in a a mud puddle. She nodded and said. "Alright." And proceeded to follow Deluge with her small claws thumping lightly on the dirt. Leaving claw imprints into the earth.

Snowfrost stared at the stone blankly, her eyes looking for movement, sighing. She looked up from the grey stone ground covered with green moss and flew up into the sky, practicing her flight abilities.
Diving downwards into a Snow dune when she reach one of the peaks. She began to lay in the snow, feeling tired.
Looking up, she thought about the Ice kingdom and the sickness. Her eyes closing as she took a nap in the cold snow.
How did the flashing exit?...Can't wait when snowstorm comes back from hunting.. I wonder how Mother is doing.. She didn't send a letter every 3 weeks, this is the 4th week after she sent us a letter...What happened?...
Her vision faded away as she went into a dreamless sleep.
