I glance at the Sun wolf. "That looks bad. I'm not a healer but even I know you may end up crippled due to that wound." Deep in my heart I know that nothing much can be done for a crippled wolf but I hold out hope that this wolf will heal.

With my kill at my paws I take a moment to ensure nothing heard the ruckus I caused in my brief chase. Sensing nothing around, I eat the mouse to take the edge off my hunger. Now that my hunger is satisfied, and since I know there is prey around here, I decide to keep hunting. Any prey I catch I'll try to keep for whatever packmates I find. If anything I'll take some back to the rendezvous point for Ruthless and anyone they find. And if I know there is prey around here, maybe someone else will use the same logic I did and come to the water.
