Brandon nodded, and got to work. Hazel helped as well.
Sparky looked closely at the course, and then nodded. He started to help as well.
Jackson and Barnabus were both helping with the heavier things.

Sparky trotted to the starting line. Hazel and Brandon, Drummer and Matamba were already there.
Jackson went to the starting line. "Ready to win, Barnabus?" He asked his spirit animal, who was pawing a patch of dirt, being...almost oblivious to the race that was about to start.

Yes. I figured you needed someone to be the one to see who won... I should head over there in that sense.
The racers, other than Barnabus, I guess, were ready.
