"No idea. My dad and I found him as a stray, just wandering down the street. He was pretty pathetic when we found him. Scraggly fur, some scratches, you know. General stray cat things. But we brought him home, gave him some water, and after a few weeks he was my little fluffy Obsidian."
Then she looks at Claire. "Really? Well, now you've trapped yourself. You need to tell us all about them."

Nicote didn't mention that he had a pigeon hiding in his pocket. It might freak everyone out.

Sparky looked at Nicote "Do you have any pets?"

"They are very playful, no joke. You set them down in an open area they won't even run away! They just begin looking around and sniffing everything! They just want to explore, but they love to squirm and they are very loud."

"Aww! That sounds so adorable! You see, I found Obsidian as a kitten, and he was the little escape artist. He would always find his way out of anything and everything we tried to keep him in. Anyway, what was your ferret's name?"
