She sighed and pushed the door open. The room was dark and she stepped in cautiously. When she spotted Keith she crouched beside him, silent as well.

Keith sat there, a dazed look in his face. A hand slowly rose up and brushed his scar. "I guess it's time I said something." he muttered.

She thought for a moment and then nodded. "To who, me?" She turned to face him, watching as he traced the scar. "Why do you have it?"

"Who do you think I'm talking to." Keith said. "You, you know that Joker guy right? And the notes we recieved?" Keith said tugging a photo out of his pocket. He pointed at the teenager boy. "He's his successor." he mumbled. His voice hardened, "He was arrested when I was 6. Oh, but it gets interesting. he escaped from the asylum and snuck into the apartbuilding we lived on." he took a deep breath, like story telling wasn;t his thing, "I was out cold in my room when I heard screaming and manic laughter. I had taken only one step into the hall and...there he was a knife in one hand and blood on the other, he kept laughing like this was a game to him." Keith clenched his fists, "Being the stupid kid I was, I attacked him. I found my self pinned against the wall, and the maniac kept chuckling and muttering 'Let's put a smile on that face' he raised his knife and... you can guess the rest...I managed to break free as the man was T.A.S.E.R.ed from behind by an officer who was called in. Guess you could say I was alone after that, the officer scooped me up and covered my eyes, so that I wouldn't see what had happened in the living room." he gritted his teeth. ''Murder."

She was shocked, to say the least. She herself had never known her parents, and hadn't bothered to figure out who they were. After all, she was happy with the family that had taken her in. She leaned lightly on his shoulder, hoping he wouldn't mind it. "I know you don't want pity. I wouldn't either. And whoever your brother has become, no matter how much he may beg for forgiveness, I promise I won't spare him if I ever meet him." She reached over with a hand and touched the scar, then pulled her hand back. Who would do such a thing to their family?

Keith looked down, he didn't mind at all. With out warning Keith pulled Diana into a hug.

Claudius wandered around the hall, readjusting anything that was crooked.

(great now my ship senses are tingling)

She startled but relaxed after a second, wrapping her arms around him, hugging him back. So he was crying... She felt the tears on his face and sighed, wiping them off like a mother would to her child.

Keith had calmed down, "Theres one more thing." he said pulling away, "He swore revenge. All those edgy Keith moments... I was trying (and failing) to push you all away. Diana, I guess I'm just paranoid the same thing would happen again, but...with the team." He actually reffered to the group as the team.

Tala used the ring to push a beam into place and support the ceiling...after doing this she realized how tierd she was....she walked down the hall and found the door with the lantern symbol on it....she took off the rig,her clothes returned to normal.She then passed out on the bed.

He called me Diana... she chuckled a bit. "All of us can handle ourselves for sure, we're not weak or unprotected. I mean, I learned I can lift a 150-pound or so chunk of metal without breaking my back." She folded her hands in her lap, pulling back too. "Nothing's going to happen to... us. The team."
