Luna looks around the woods, "Do you know how long these woods have been here?"

Ajal chuckles, "Okay I deserved that one. So any other leads?"

"We've estimated that most of the trees are around 200-400 years old,the oldest one is in the middle of the forest and the younger ones are on the edge as expected" baron remarked.Clik nodded,"and how long has the castle?" she asked."We're assuming 300 years" baron added

Knuckles gave a short nod in acknowledgement. "Hm."

"That makes sense," Luna whispers.

"The tree's located around the castle are what we actually used to guess how old it was,the fire damage makes it very difficult to tell" baron remarked

"So, it might be a lot older than that." Knuckles appearently felt compelled to add.

"yes,but we doubt it's older than the forest" baron remarked back.

"But wouldn't the land have needed to be cleared in order to build the castle in the first place?" Knuckles questioned. He wasn't asking to be rude, despite how it came off; he was genuinrly curious.

"of course,the forest isn't right up against the castle but it's close enough that we can generalize ages,the younger tree's are all closer to the castle so we infer that they ended up planting more while they were here" he added with a grin."A perfect example of giving back to nature,which we're thinking was a big part of their lifestyle...that or something in the woods made them and they did it out of fear".Clik looked at the woods,"and what would that be?"."oh,nothing that's still around today,and if it is they don't come out much" he reassured her."But people still claim ghost and fairy sightings around the castle so who knows"

"Ah. I guess that makes sense." Knuckles responded. "Do you believe in those sightings?"
