Iist gripped at the strap of her bag, a meager and humble one provided by those who raised and prepared her for this journey. She continued forward through the plains despite the new sensations, telling herself in her mind not to be scared. The benefit to the plains was that there shouldn't be any threat that she couldn't see from miles away, and should there be one, she could take measures when it came time.

To distract herself from nerves of venturing out for the first time in her life, she recalled pieces of advice that she learned from years before. 'Always be aware of your surroundings,' she thought as she turned her head left and right slowly and observing the plains in full. 'Make sure to ration and pace yourself.' She walked at her own pace, something a little faster than a leisurely stroll, feeling like she had no clear location to rush to in the green expanse.

A few small birds hop in the trees but they wouldn't make much of a meal. You seem several small paths but only one has hoof prints
