Lise walked into the house, looking around.

(I'm fine with Isiea getting hurt, although that might cause her to go slightly crazy if somebody directly causes it)



By then, she's already put their linner into little bowls, so she heads towards the noise.

(Okay, Lise it is)

A small object was on the floor on one of the stairs. At first, it looked like a dirty rag. But it was Floppy, Ethan's rabbit. The stuffed animal's head had been torn off, and cotton spilled from the hole in the neck.

Yet again a small noise came from the second floor.

Their mother lay on her back on the floor, arms and legs flung akimbo, one side of her face covered in glistening crimson. Her purse, its contents scattered everywhere, lay beside one limp white hand. Standing over her in the doorway, his head cocked to one side like a curious cat, was Ethan.

And he was smiling.

She was taken aback at the sight of both her mother and Ethan. She ran up thr stairs to her mother's side, ignoring the creepy decapitated rabbit.

Isiea stares at the sight, visibly surprised. She isn't quite sure how to think or feel about what she's seeing.

Her skin was still warm, though, so she couldn't be dead. Right?

Where the heck was Luke? Ethan was standing in the doorway, his blue eyes now wide and teary. "Mommy slipped," he whispered. There was a small gash on their mother's temple, nearly invisible beneath blood and hair.

"Will she die?" Ethan asked. Though his eyes were huge and round, and tears brimmed in the corners, he sounded more curious than anything.

That gives her enough to know how she feels about it. She kneels down and hugs him. "She'll be okay."

She didn't know for sure if their mother would be ooay, but they couldn't leave her here. She needed proper medical treatment.

Ethan let her, not hugging back though

Luke was gone, so the only thing left would be to call for an ambulance. Mom groaned, stirred, and opened her eyes.

" mom! " She wasn't too loud, as to not surprise her.
