They both choked on that word. " What?! But the Dragons devour all humans in sight! Why is her grave down here?! " Lance yelled. " Well, she died during childbirth. So now, there is a pair of human babies somewhere, or half human babies somewhere. " I said. " AND I thought when your mom took out th-" I look at her. " Stop talking. Please. " She quickly shut up. " But I thought all Humans had been erased or eaten. How could one just die during childbirth? " Lance said.

49 thought. *considering I have a small amount of dragon DNA in me, I can understand why your confused. And so am I. Im also very hungry.*

" Im hungry too. The sun should be coming up soon, so lets head out. We can travel to the kitsune kingdom later today. "

49 nodded. *we better get out of here so I can hunt quickly, before I rip you apart to eat. Not even joking.*

" okay....then lets go. " I say as I start running up the stairs. Lanai follows me up in her wolf form with Lance on her back. " Too many hallways. Just go through a wall, Lanai. " Lance says. She nods, and burst through a wall to the outside. The sun was coming up, but slowly.

49 just jumped out, carrying everything.

Aribella slowly opened her eyes. It was the dawn of a new day. She slowly say up and stretched in her bed. As always, breakfast waited for her on the table beside her. Hopefully, she could eat and get ready quick enough to slip away and into the forest before mother sent someone to tell her what she was expected to attend that day. She sighed to herself. It was tiring being royalty. Especially fae royalty. Everyone was courteous, but you never knew how much was genuine and how much was just a mask before they stab you in the back. Aribella swung her feet to the edge of the bed began eating her breakfast.

A little bit later, Aribella, or Ari as her friends called her, snuck out of the castle and stealthily made her way to the edge of the forest. Waiting near the bushes sat a small fox. It's fur shone as it sunbathed. Ari smiled slightly as she walked up to the waiting creature. The familiar face of the fox that always accompanied her in her woodland walks looked up at her and seemed to smile. Ari responded by gently rubbing the fur on its back. The fox, who Ari affectionately referred to as Cinder stood up and turned toward the trees. He looked at Ari, yipped and raced into the forest. Ari laughed and ran after. She knew where Cinder was going. They raced almost every day to her favorite tree, a giant oak in the middle of the forest. That was where all her adventures started.

I landed softly on a rooftop and continued running. By this time, everyone was already inside their houses, so it was alot easier for us to go unnoticed. We quickly got over the wall, and back to our space at the edge of the forest.

I raced into the forest after Cinder. It was amazing, the feel of the wind pulling at my hair, in the life surrounding me. I couldn't hold back my smile at the feel of it. Spotting the large oak, I begun to slow down. Walking now, I push past the last of the branches and enter the clearing shaded by the oak. I walk to the base of it's trunk and find Cinder pacing happily there. I don't know how he does it, but he always beats me. Still with a smile on my face, I reach over and grab the small pack nestled on my shoulder blades. Inside the simple bag is a notebook with a pen, a water bottle, and some jerky. Just enough to spend a while in the forest comfortably drawing or exploring with something to write down what I find. I gently remove the water and take a sip before returning it to the bag and placing the bag on my back. Stretching my now warmed muscles, I notice Cinder is standing oddly still, loooking in the direction opposite we came. Suddenly, he whirls around and darts into some undergrowth nearby. Even thought this is odd, I think nothing of it and start climbing the oak in front of me. Within minutes I am safely suspended in a hidden nook in a branch. The branch is big enough that I can cross my legs without fear of falling. I hang my bag on another branch nearby and gaze out at the forest around me.
