Hailstorm tensed and pounced. He brought his teeth down on gritty dirt as the pigeon got away in the nick of time. He spat it out and prowled along the southern border hoping for some prey.

Redfoot took his prey back to camp then went back out. He sniffed around just to make sure the wolves were gone though he knew it wasn't his job to check.

Sighing Hailstorm dug up his fish and ground squirrel. He trotted into camp and dropped it onto the freshkill pile.

Redfoot found no evidence of more wolves until one attacked him. He attacked back but knew if it came to it that he would fail to protect himself.

Hailstorm's head snapped up from his daze as the faint battle cry of a wolf rang in his ears. His sweat went cold as he leaped out of camp. "REDFOOT!" He yowled turning his head this way and that searching for his friend.
