Joe wearly glanced over at his phone, then picked up, taking a sip of coffee. "Yeah?"

Nox smirks, "You want to do the honors or do you want me to?"

Zero slunk out of the alleyway. "I'll make this quick." He mumbled, conjuring up a disquise for himself. He settled on a magpie; it seemed a cinamatic choice.

Nox raises an eyebrow, "Huh."


'Joe Kini's surgery is today do you want me to tell him that you wish him well?"

Zero paused upon hearing that and glanced back at Nox briefly. "One for sorrow." He recited before making his way towards the docks.

Joe twitched his ear. "...huh? Oh, yeah. Sure."

Nox follows along trying to figure out what he meant.


"Anything else you'd like me tell him," Neva asks, "Or would you like to come here and tell him yourself?"

(There's this old superstition about magpies. The number of birds a person sees is supposed to tell of good or bad luck. There's a rhyme for it that goes like this:

One for sorrow, Two for mirth,
Three for a funeral, Four for birth,
Five for silver, Six for gold,
Seven for a secret never to be told,
Eight for a wish, Nine for a kiss,
Ten for a bird you must not miss,
Eleven is worse, Twelve for a terrible curse.

Renny's eyebrow raised.He didn't ask anyquestions

"What?" Ganz asked freezing up like a deer in headlights

Neva nods once, "Okay please hurry."



Haggin looks at Renny, "Where are they?"

"Clik wen't into a store,i think it's the Dockmaster's house..The other's area still at the bench" he remarked
