Corona wilding, the district decided to shut down school from now to 4/12 .vspring break has turned into a month. This is insane.

My friend with a cardiac problem was just put under social isolation for the next couple weeks... It's probably for the best. I'll make it a point to stay in contact with her though.

Also, are kids safe from this? I mean, I haven't heard of a single kid getting it or anything.

Kids are not safe from it.

Yeah as far as we know people under 18 are at very low risk. They *can* get it (and have got it, there was a teenager in Washington I believe who tested positive), but I don't think anyone has died in that age range. In the US anyway. They can still spread it though, so even if they aren't in danger of dying, they should still be taking the proper precautions. Outside of the US I believe a few have died,, although the death rate is still **very** low in that age range.

You know it would be nice if you like,, told them why kids weren't safe, or maybe that kids were less likely to die from it. Any number of conclusions could be made from "Kids are not safe."

Dunno, have been hesitant to provide more information in this thread since our previous exchange. They asked if kids were safe from it and I answered the question. Don't know how I'm supposed to answer why kids aren't safe because no one is safe, there are just higher and lower chances. Any number of conclusions can be made but yikes I'll elaborate if they ask.

The thread is totally public, your free to answer questions and such, it just bothered me because people are accusing *me* of "fearmongering", so your vague answer was uh--- a bit hypocritical in my opinion (although I don't think you were one of those people specifically). (also I don't know if they pinged you with their question, but they did ping me)

I don't suppose I like that quote that was spoken to you. You don't need someone against you, you can be fighting for people to be aware. You can be fighting against COVID-19. And one doesn't need to be aggressive to fight against the coronavirus because that doesn't accomplish anything.
