I pout at the sloppy basket. I decide to take a food break and pet Alcyone, watching the rain pour down. how many strips are left? and how many could I salvage if I took the basket apart?

Let's take it apart and make a wicker water collecter instead, it's much smaller but the wicker is a lot closer together so it can hold water in it without it dripping out. I also sing a song while I work

Nice songs.
You take it apart and make an okay water catcher, but water wont leak.

I huff in annoyance, damn rain getting in the way of my greatness...I'll put the wicker basket out into the rain to catch some water to drink, check it for durability see if there are any holes I need to patch up etc.

There are no holes to patch up. Your basket caught the water and it was quiet.
