He liked how she was able to race well,he'd not ever been able to race properly with anyone before,and so he let his tail go down and his head down as well and he leaped quickly from root to root and up and over things as if hurtles.

She cheerfully speed up ahead of him, not getting tired.

His breathing hitched slightly as it became a little harder,tho he didn't slow his pace despite Shade growling at him because he knew what was going to happen to him. Both of them knew. With how his breathing had issues here and there,asthma,he would most likely have an attack afterwards.

She was unaware of his issues and continued running.

At least a third of the way he slowed,tho kept going as he tried to pull air in,his tail droopy as well as his ears.

She quickly ran over, kneeling down by him nervously.
