Sharky looked thoughtful, "hmmm. If'n ye will miss come to my cabin and tell me a bit about those chasin' ye. If yer to join the crew for this voyage I need to know what kind a trouble to watch out for. Wouldn't do to have yer enemies to show up and catch the rest of us off guard an unprepared ye see. It's the law of the sea that a crew looks out for each other, so we've got to know what to expect. I'm not askin' why yer runnin' from 'em, but I do need to know a little more about who they are, an' what they might do if'n they do find ye here. "
He turned to Kit and patted her shoulder, "On that note, I dont blame ye fer bein' curious Kit, but when yer on lookout duty our lives are in yer hands. The crew is countin' on ye to warn us of any trouble. Best to stay at yer post, or at least have Tarka take yer place in the crows nest next time. That way we've at least got one person on lookout. Now let's all head back up on deck. After me an the other missy have our talk...er what should we call ye?" He looked at the okapi.

"Umm Captain, Terrin is currently on look out. He owes me a favor," Kit stated knowing how important the lookout position was. Stalking out she mutters, "I wouldn't risk everyone's life out of curiousity."

"Khu...su.Khusu" she lied.She didn't think they'd hand her over but...it was better to not take chances.She just hoped that she wouldn't have to go into too much detail on her persuers.She glanced down at her pocket and ran her hand over the outside, relived that the ring was still in there.

Sorry for dropping off the face of the Earth there. My Grandpa passed away and I went on a crocheting binge. On the bright side I made a totally awesome otter pirate, and a peacock, and a cushy pair of socks.

Sharky smiled ruefully, Kitt was feisty not a bad attribute in a crew member, but did make the first part of any voyage rougher. It was usually that way with a new crew. A group of individuals thrust together on one boat, usually led to some choppy water before things smoothed out. He turned to the Okapi, "Very well Khusu, lets get things settled, then we'll find ye a bunk and give ye a proper tour of the vessel." He held the door open and motioned Khusela through.

Kitt went back to look out duty after she left the captain. She was fusterated and Terrin knew it and knew to avoid her.

Terrin glances out over the ocean asking himself how far he was willing to go to find where he was from. He hoped Sharky had answers but Terrin feared to ask questions.

Khusela nodded gently her hair flopping a tad, she quickly brushed it out of her face hiding her relife,and making a mental note to cornrow her mane out of the way if it got too much for the windy seas. She slid through the door light of her feet as she was normally

Sharky followed then led the way to his cabin. Stepping around the hammock spaces he made his way to his desk. "Ye'll have to pardon the cramped space lass. I be sharin' sleeping quarters this voyage." He motioned her to the chair opposite the desk. "Now to start off, who is it that be chasin' ye, an more important what do they look like. That way if'n we see 'em we know to avoid 'em and be on our guard."

Kit wanted to try and meet this new crewmate for real but she also didn't want to anger the captain again. Glancing over at Terrin she noticed the look he had on his face one of longing.

Khusela didn't seem bothered by the cramped corners, the hammocks made her slightly uncomfortable but...she could deal with it. She paused a bit when he asked who was chasing her. "Cat's" she said matter of factly. "they'll have a tattoo with gold embedded in it" she added just so it wasn't as vague. She didn't say what or why they were after her, that was a secret she was supposed to die with unless 100% totally absolutely necessary which she doubted would happen. Unless a warship popped up ... then it might.

Sharky nodded, "Fair enough lass. Now if'n they were to find ye with us, what action would they take? I need some idea as to how to counter them in the event they do turn up. Would they come in force, or be sendin' in a small force? What kind of fightin' tactics do they use? What weapons do they be havin'? In short what should we be expectin' if'n we end up under attack?"
