She stares at Ash in shock and dismay.

She sprints over to Ash, sliding on her knees to his side as she frantically hovers her hands over his body, clearly not knowing what to do to help heal him.

Reaching down, the Iron King grasped the hilt and pulled, sliding the blade out of his chest. Lightning sizzled, melting the ice around the hole, and thin wires wove themselves around the wound, knitting it together. Machina tossed the sword away and looked at Lin, his black eyes sparkling with fury.


"I am losing patience with you, my dear." One of his cables shot forward, coiling around Ashs throat and lifting him off his feet. Ash choked and struggled weakly as Machina dangled him several feet overhead. Ethan wailed in his cage. "Rule with me, or let them die. Make your choice."

She looks up at Ash in shock, her eyes full of pain as she stays on her knees, staring up at him.

She suddenly whips around and tries to flee.

One of the cables from Machina's cape whips out and stops her, accidentally knocking her to her knees. The ground pulsed underneath her hands...

Ash tried to speak to Claire, but to no success.

Shes trembling visibly. Kerri snarls in fury and lunges at Machina.

She glances at Lin, then at Ash, her eyes showing the pain as her hands begin to shake.

Her consciousness flows into the earth, searching for that spark of life. She could feel the trees in Machinas court, their branches lifeless and dead, but their roots and hearts uncorrupted.
