I'll do that, and I'll bring some wood and sharp rocks too so I can practice wood carving skills while I wait out any rain.

You make a small but otherwise ok shelter for today, and you only have your sickle you could use to carve. You might be able to make a knife though.

You manage to get a small enough piece of metal and heat it until you can shape it. Its straight and strong, just needs to be sharpened.

Satisfied I sharpen it with one of the other pieces of junk that I had deemed unsalvagable

I listen to the birds chirp as I look for some berries, no need to hurt them. A river would be welcome, fresh water and fish were almost always plentiful where they were.
