William


William nervously pet Silver, just KNOWING he was going on that stage next, and ran over the performance several times with his cat. "Alright Silver, I know you don't like it, put I'll take it off after the performance, ok?" The cat nodded glumly, and William put something in her fur. It coughed, and she TALKED. SHE TALKED ENGLISH. "Are you sure?" Silver said, surprised at her own human voice. It sounded like a 16 year old girl at least, and was quite beautiful. "Remember, you sound great with your human voice, we'll do fine. We practiced for weeks..." William murmured, and he pet Silver as he held her in his arms. This got strange looks from other people, and they stared at the boy and his cat.



The stage

The few participants that realized they couldn't see, feel or hear, started slightly freaking out. The judges watched, fascinated as they tried to regain their lost senses. Eventually the other two realized as well, and they all were very confused.

She watch the performance from backstage, staring at the judges intensely."Why aren't they moving?" she said softly.

"We've lost our senses!" They all exclaimed, and the judges lightly applauded. "Interesting! I say that's a yes!" They all agreed. "You will be escorted back to the hotel after performances. In the meantime, please stay back stage with your fellow passers. Next is... "William Hawk-Thorn." Would William Hawk-Thorn please come to the stage?"


William

THIS WAS IT!!! He fumbled with Silver and walked on stage, tripping on his coat. He landed with a thud and quickly got back up, and spoke into the microphone. High squealing feedback from the microphone sounded, and his face turned red again. "I-I'm William, I'm 16 and I'll be-be s-singing with m-my ca-cat, S-silver..." He stuttered, his cat responding with a "Hold onto your socks ladies and gentleman!" The judges told him he could begin, and the lights dimmed and the music started.

William seemed to instantly loose his shyness, and his face looked confident. William began to sing the first part of the duet. "He was a poor boy, living in a run down home to place to go," Silver, his cat, sung the next part with a crisp human voice. "She was a rich girl, had everything she would ever need."

"She looked in his face and she said: There's something familiar in these eyes, something I'm dying so to find."

"But then he had to go and it ended like that (William snaps), she was left alone with the drop of a hat."

They finished the song as William turned into a lion and let out a triumphant roar, and silver yowled. The judges lightly applauded, and murmured among themselves. "I think that is a yes! A bit sloppy with the lyrics, but you show promise!" They all agreed. "You will be escorted to the hotel after performances. Please wait behind stage with your fellow passers. Next is... Aidan Lucas Zion. Would Aiden Lucas Zion step on stage, please?"

William stepped behind stage with silver, standing beside Ricky and Astra, with a grin painted on his face. He instead of looking shy, looked confident with himself and Silver. He had made it, and he knew he deserved it. "I got in guys!" He said cheerfully, practically bouncing with excitement.
