"Isn't he coming ashore?" Toril asked looking at the cart and the small horse. They would have to take it until Onmund was well enough to walk again. He very well couldn't swim right now and she refused to. If the ship didn't dock what would happen? They would die before they had a chance to live life to the fullest. Her mind wandered back to the though of conceiving a child...if they could just make it to the boat...

"His crew will bring rowboats ashore and his first mate will pick us up. Mr. Pinid has known me since I was born, we can trust him the most. Everyone else will be raiding, so it will be chaos." Samie got down to the shore, careful to cover her hair and face. She saw 5 boat loads of people and creatures coming ashore, armed with everything from knives to pistols. "My father's ship is a valuable one for bounty-hunters, so make sure you cover your heads on the way back and watch out for flying arrows and bullets."

"Onmund keep your head down." Toril said knowing that he seemed to be a magnet for that sort of thing. He put his hood up and lowered his head. She would have joined him though someone had to keep the pony safe. "You really think just standing here is a good idea then?"

"Can't you put some shield around us with your magic or something like that? I thought mages could do that," Samie watched as the ships got closer and closer, but saw their boat stop 20ft off the coast,"He wants us to swim out there. I'm a strong swimmer, I can carry Onmund."

"I can but it only blocks magic not physical objects." Onmund said slowly easing himself from the cart. "And you don't have to worry about me I can swim."
"It's me that can't swim." Toril said looking down at the water in pure terror. The girl wanted them to swim out there?! Wasn't there another way? Like taking a boat from on of the locals?

Samie watched the first mate stop his small boat, he was came 5 feet closer, but can't go any more. "Okay, we have two choices. We can swim out there, climb in the boat and then get to the ship, or, we can take one of the raiders boats, but they will not make it back to the ship if we do. What will it be?"

"I don't know each way sounds just as bad!" Toril said in a panicked manner. She starting to pace now, weighting her options. She herself couldn't swim, well not well at any rate yet the two of them could...maybe she would just have to let them carry her...or... "hang on...I might have something that can help...." the woman said taking her pack off of her back. After digging for a moment she pulled out a wooden mask, which over all had a scary look about it. "There it is..." she said closing the bag up. "Remember when we killed that undead priest Onmund? We found this, this mask allows the wearer to breath under the water. I may not be able to swim well though if I don't have to worry about keeping my head above the water it should be fine."

Samie looked back at the small boat and Mr. Pinid, only 15 feet away. She then looked back to Toril, then saw soldiers running towards them, swords in their hands. "We need to go, now!" The siren dived into the ocean, not waiting to see if they were following her. Once she got to where the soldiers couldn't get her without jumping in, she stopped, starting to help Toril and Onmund. "I can carry one of you, but only one. Who will it be?"

"Carry him!" Toril said turning to face the soldiers. She didn't want to get into the water, and Onmund wasn't a strong enough fighter to survive against the men. "Go I'll buy you some time!"
"Toril no! I'm not leaving you behind!" The man protested though he knew it was no good...she had made up her mind.

"I'll come back for her, Onmund, but we need to get you to the boat and get your wounds dried off," Samie put her arms around Onmund, turned on her back, and started swimming for the boat. In the deepest corners of her mind she hoped Toril was taken so Onmund would only have herself, but she quickly pushed the thought away and focused on getting Onmund to the small rowboat.
