"That's good," I say, gently sliding my pale feet into the water. "Do you live in the water, or near it?" I ask, looking back at Tempest.

"Both. I like sleeping on the grass but I spend a lot of time in the water." She kicked some water up at him.

The water splashes on my face, surprising me to the point where I jump up, and my clumsy self trips and falls into the water. I'm submerged for a second, but come up for air soon enough, my leather strip for tying my hair falling out, letting my raven hair shine in the sunlight. My wings are soaked, and float on top of the water.
"Oops," I say, looking down at my drenched form, my smooth chest easily seen through my white shirt.

Tempest blushed and dropped down in a crouch. She held her hand out, laughing as she saw his hair and the wings after the water drenched them. "How's the water?" She teased. "Warm? Cold? Perfect?"

"Meh. I'm not really one to like water, especially when it gets on my wings. This water's ok, I guess." I say, as I take her hand and get out of the water. "Guess I'm staying here until my wings dry, I can't get home without them," I say, sitting down once more.

She smirked and let go of his hand. "Sure, okay. How long do you think that'll take?"

"I don't really know. I've never gotten them completely soaked before." I say, bemusedly spreading my wings out in the grass. "It shouldn't take too long, as the sun is really hot today." I swirl my feet around in the water, watching the jewel-like fish swim around.

As her feet touched the water again, they seemed to glow a bit and a few copper scales appeared in a pattern along her ankle. She peered at them and sighed. She hadn't had legs before... until they had given her the elf DNA. The lab had been terrible but the legs helped her now.

"So, um. Were you human before this or...?" I ask, in the most awkward way possible. This earns me another internal facepalm.

"No," Tempest replied. "I was a siren. No legs, just a tail."
