Once out of reach She hissed down at the three headed dog as she perched on a branch, before realizing that would solve none of her problems. So she judged the distance to the next tree hoping to move forward that way.

It disappeared and the whole tree becomes a sapling. The sun is burning down and it was no longer a field, but coarse dirt underneath you.

The other branches would be too hard to push backwards, you'd probably lose your balance and fall off. Even if you got to the end, you could slip jumping onto the higher branch.
