She hid behind Uje. "You're scaring me too, y'know." Iist stared into his red eyes, wanting to defy him, and wondering where Focus and the mage were during this instance. "He saw me, yeah, and asked me all the same stuff you're asking."

The flame flickered black for a second, then turned back to it's normal fiery colours. "So, lie to me, will you?" He says, making the flame disappear with a flick of his hand. "You've obviously seen him, talked to him, and said things you're unwilling to tell me." He turns around as you and him both hear some commotion from the forest, followed by cursing and some scuffling. Finally, a group of armed knights stomp into the clearing, dragging your friend, the very unwilling to come mage with them. He was bleeding from multiple wounds, and his robes seemed to be torn. The guards threw him on the ground quite roughly and he collapsed, in front of you and the prince. The prince turned to you again, smiling maliciously. "This is your friend, yes?"

Iist gasped and rushed to the mage, kneeling down to help him sit up. She scowled at the prince. "No moral being would treat anyone this way. You're the worst." She supported the mage, his arm around her shoulder. "Can you get up? Are you okay?"

(Narrator really doesn't want you to die, so she's going to push you down the other path a bit)

You howl, and catch the attention of about ten more shadow men who joined the five that were already assaulting you. The griffin's eyes flash red and he grabs your collar and yanks you back, just as a shadow sword slices the air where you were miliseconds ago. "Master is still alive," the griffin hisses. "And he commands me to take you away, at least to somewhere safe." He drags you off the ledge that probably never should have existed and towards the entrance you'd previously come from.
As you look across the cavern, you see the swarm of shadow men disappear through another tunnel at the other end, and since the mage had somewhat lighted the place up, you could see a trail of blood also in their direction and no sign of the mage. Assume what you want, but the shadow men took the mage with them.

She wriggled and squirmed, "But I was fine. _{I had magical flower crown.}"

He coughs, then winces. "Wow, I'm so okay." He says rather sarcastically, then going limp on your shoulder. The prince strides towards you and pulls you up, followed by pushing you away. "Keep her away." He orders to the guards, who forms a protective ring around the prince. Between the guards, you could see the prince stooping down to your friend the mage. "Why hello, brother. Long time no see." He smirks, "Everybody misses you so much, and we wish you could die faster." Your friend shifts with a painful look on his face and manages a sarcastic "I love you too, brother," to which the latter replies by placing his hand on the mage's arm and muttering a spell, causing your friend to cry out in pain.

"Stop!!" Iist yelled. She took her sword and shield, despite her unskilled and weaker stature. She bashed forward into the crack between the guards with all her might behind her shield. "Stop it! Uje, help!" she called out. She hoped in her heart that Focus could help somehow too.

The griffin takes you and runs down the hallway until you loose the shadow men. He skids to a stop to where River was waiting, also where the girl was shaking and crying behind the unicorn, hiding.

She crouched down, do you remember which way they brought you in?

She yelped, hearing your voice. She threw up her hands and covered her head, as if she though you were going to hurt her. "Pl...please don't hurt me!"

The guards were surprised when you charged at them, and you used the element of surprise to push through. As you pushed through, the prince grabbed your friend the mage by the scruff and yanked him to his knees, his other hand drawing his sword. As all of this happened, Focus materialized out of thin air above the guards and began divebombing them, causing them to scream like little girls. Uje ran around, throwing them into the air, leaving you, the prince, and your friend the mage alone. "One more move and he dies," The prince snarls, bringing his blade dangerously close to the mage's neck.
