She enters and the kitchen is already pretty busy with many of the cookhands already prepping the other parts of the meal. Desmioselle and a smaller version of herself stood,watching over most of it. The smaller one pointing out things and Desmioselle nodding. She eventually spotted Starlight and made her way over, "Good Morning M'lady" she remarked with a grin.

(Me remebering Starlight can't see any of this: "oh well i'll still describe it"

"Good morning Desmioselle. Are you ready to start preparing breakfast," Starlight asks tying an apron on.

"yes ma'm" she nods, "I hope you don't mind but I brought a little helper" she motions to the smaller one next to her. Presumably her daughter. Who quietly remarks "Hi" whilst hiding behind her mother

"Hello," Starlight smiles, "I don't mind. I'll let her help make the fruit mix. If you don't mind my asking how long have you been working here?"

After a while longer of silent debate, Kaladin sighed, stepping out from the cover of the trees and onto the shoreline. "Alright.... alright," He mumbled to himself in something almost akin to reassurance.

Selkie smiles when he sees Kaladin then looks remorseful, "Kaladin I'm so sorry and I fully understand you being angry at me but please don't punish Douglas and Bella because of me."

Kai looks up at him wondering who to trust.

"I've been working under the Solis's since I was around your age" Desmoiselle remarked."I started working at the keep after Lady Opal and Lord Atticus got married" she added. Her kid remarked, "and i come in with mommy the week that daddy's off getting things for his shop!" her mother nodded. "You think you can handle the fruit mix?" she asked. The little cocker spaniel nodded

Starlight smiles, "I don't mean to be nosy but Duke Solis and I got off on the wrong foot and I'd like to make it up to him. Do you know what kind of foods he likes? Make sure to get the fruit mixed well since it's the most important part of the meal."

The little one nodded and hurried to go grab some of the fruit which had already been cut up.Desmoiselle shook her head, "Sadly I don't, my mother would've known." she remarked. "And Lord Solis is just a little prickly when he's here, it's not his fault that this place brings back memories"

"I understand that," Starlight spoke calmly, "Who knows maybe he might like this recipe." She worked on what she could to help. Her mind was elsewhere at the molment though.
