It seems to have lest some sort of trail. It looks like... pink glitter.

He soon finds what it was. Its a creature called a starduster. Theyre magical wolves with two tails, and stars in their fur. The star color changes, and this one has pink stars. They shed a lot, hence the glittery trail.

It stares up at him.
Stardusters are actually pretty powerful little things- theyre essentially immortal so long as they arent wounded severely, and their fur has healing properties. They arent usually aggressive unless theyre desperate.
After a moment it walks up to him and sniffs his hand. Then its tails start wagging and it licks him.

Its two tails wag faster and it kicks him some more. Hawkblade seems to get a tiny bit jealous of this, and pushes the starduster away so she can get pet too.
