I gave Ryu a pointed look that nobody else could see. "Exactly," I say, "Which is why I am going to de" Ryu, the spoilsport, interrupts me,
"I am going to keep these safe. Or try to. You can probably do that better than me."

Ryu

I quickly place the scroll in Thistle's talons, not trusting myself - or Riley - with it.

Little Crysta giggled, frills fluffing and turning a bright yellow with her little underwings. Her white scales glimmered a little.

Thistle took it gently. "And I as well, we must find out more though. There's more out there, more. Others. We must keep these safe, as you say. We must."

Riley
I was done hiding. "Or, you know, we could just destroy it all and not have to worry about any of"
"WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT OF COURSE WE'RE GOING TO KEEP THESE TRUTHS SAFE." The scale under my eyes flicker as Ryu and I fight for dominence inside of me.
"Pardon me. As I was saying..."
"Actually, I'll just shut up." I silently curse Ryu as they manage to say that. I have to keep quiet now. Which isn't any fun. So I turn power over to Ryu, and the glowing scale dims.

Ryu

All I could think about was how what had just happened was a complete desaster.

Thistle clearly was confused, blinking a few times, before he held the scroll a little closer but gave a nod. "I will be quiet if you wish as well."

(u guys need to sleep xD)

She stared at the other...dragon, not entirely crawling all the way out yet.

Ryu

"No, no, you're fine. It's... Riley isn't alright. There's always been something a little bit off with them." I say, before realizing that I had probably just confused Thistle more. Ah, this wasn't turning out well.
You're supposed to be good with words. Use them!

The prince glanced at her with a soft smile. "Hello. Moonmist."

He sure did confuse him. He tilted his head, scales turning Deepdiver dark blue, eyes a sea green. "Who is this Riley? Do they wish to understand more as well!?" He asked happily, tail wagging.

Ryu

I nod furiously, glad for the offered description. "Yes! Yes." I wildly pleaded Riley would stay quiet...

Riley

"I AM RILEY! And I have come to finish my job of destroying the scrolls." I say cheerfully.

Ryu

"But I am also Ryu who wants to protect the scrolls, so shut up Riley, you do not belong here." I put my talons over my head, cursing myself.

Why can't you just be quiet!
I am as important as you are. I'm you as much as you are me.
Which isn't much, so just go away.
Was that a death sentence I just heard?
