He smiled again, but it was more of a strained grimace. "To betray you I would've had to been loyal to you to begin with." He said harshly, " Because what else was I supposed to do?" Taking a deep breath, he tried to calm down but ended up exploding (Figuratively) " And what did you think was going to happen, Hayden. What, I'd betray my mistress? What the hell is in that for me, huh? Sure as hell there's a chance you actually cared about me, but what then? We might have true love for the next 2 hours, then it'll be taken when Tiffany comes marching with her army of zombie-like controlled humans! " He didn't realize he was shouting, and didn't really care either, "I've worked SO HARD every damn day of my life so my mistress could realize I can be more than a slave to my mind, more than a rag doll with human features! Because yea maybe if I had made the other choice you wouldn't feel betrayal, but I'm the one who has to come home at the end of the day and get my throat slit for disobeying!" He took a deep, ragged breath, "I'm 16 by 2 days, Hayden. I've been told in the last couple hours to murder grays that I grew up with, ask angry storm spirits to rain lightning, and send the one person besides Tiffany that I care about to their death. So stop your ****** whining, because you have the better end of this situation." He was shaking so badly it was like his limbs might lose themselves and snap off at any second, " When I go home, I don't want it to be for my execution. You have no right to ask me to give up everything I know and love for some stranger I met only a few hours ago."

Inferus (The wendigo) snarled deeply, the teeth set into the exposed elk-skull that was his head clicking as he spoke in a chilling imitation of human speech. "You may not interfere."

(Thanks for explaining Ovi, and Scout of course you can be immune with your power but that's why there's a 13ft man-eating beast in front of you called a wendigo to keep you from interfering. Also for everybody who missed Inferus's intro post, its on page 15 and has images to show what he looks like)

Nyx glanced to Carter before taking her arm back, glaring back up to the wendigo. Her expression showed no fear, just annoyance and anger.
(Just a heads up, I'm gonna be offline for a bit)

TJ froze. "Oh, what the freak man. Who are you? You're big. Are you like... Blackie? You know, canine or something? I mean, the skull sorta resembles it." He asks, staring up towards the face of the huge beast. "And, Iasaac, stop your yelling. It's really unbecoming. I mean, seriously." TJ says the last two sentences really quietly, not really wanting to get on any screaming persons bad side.

Hayden stopped, looking hurt, in pain, but he hid it. Use your emotions, Coins growled as she landed on Isaac again, trying to bite him, her nose still hurting where he had whacked her. Hayden sighed and closed his eyes, he felt droopy but he hid it, using his powers to slow down the effects, he just needed more time. He let himself glow gold, with anger, with sadness, with hate. He let himself glow brighter and brighter, no one could see him now. He leaned down to the branch that ensnared him and moved it out of the way.
"Betray, is that all those do," He whispered to himself, feeling his anger grow.

Carter just stood there, frozen in place as he stared up at the creatures eyes, barely keeping himself from trembling.

Isaac flinched against the blinding light. "Y-you've left me with no other choice." He whistled high and loud, and Inferus stopped and turned. Ignoring the pestering human who tried comparing him to a dog, the irritated wendigo complained, One more minute? But upon seeing Hayden, the creature let out a high pitch shriek of anger and within seconds was upon the blinding form of light. As he didn't have eyes to be blinded by (But he can still see fine) it was no problem to close his dagger-sharp tipped fingers around Hayden and haul him up. Glancing at Isaac, who nodded, he slammed Hayden to the ground and stomped his foot in the golden-haired boy's ribcage, just enough to attempt rendering him unconscious. The damage to Hayden's ribs would be minimal, but when he woke he probably wouldn't feel too well. Inferus closed his hand upon Hayden again and held him suspended in the air to see if he really was unconscious. Isaac praised the wendigo, but said " Lets hurry now, before they get in the way." Inferus scrunched up his hind legs, and sprung with Hayden in his grasp, Isaac just managing to climb aboard and cling to the wendigo's side as the massive creature's bound took them over a building at out the village, out of sight, leaving the humans, their pets, and Hayden's pet Coins behind.

(I know this sounds a little OP, but without these occurrences the 'good guys' would have won by now and I'm just lengthening the conflict and such to keep new problems stirred and make it more interesting)

Nyx stood as soon as the wendigo left them, glancing to Carter and TJ.
(Sorry its short, I need to get off for the night (EST) I should be on in about 12 hours)

Hayden was still awake, kicking, but since the beast stomped on him, he was lost for breathe, so he was wheezing.
"Betrayed, betrayed, betrayed," He whispered glumly as he felt his energy fade, allowing the poison to reach his head, which made his head droop as he fell asleep.

Carter was watching in horror, looking afraid "Oh jeez, this is bad," He started to walk in circles, looking worried "Without Hayden we can not open the temple of light, we are so screwed."

"Snap out of it. We'll think of something... Let's see... Problem: Hayden is
taken by the traitor Isaac.... Okay... Lets awknowledge our resources. What do we have?" TJ asks, sitting down to catch his breath and place Blackie down for a second.
