I quickly hid with Lance and Lanai in the shadows. I breathed really slowly and quietly, careful not to make any sudden noises or movements. I made sure to darken our skin so we wouldn't be noticed even if we did move.

I looked out. " Very close. Is that festival over, or are they slacking on the job? " Lance shrugs. " Maybe they just came inside to check everything out? " Lance said. I shrugged as I stepped into the hallway. The foot steps were getting farther away.
