Kaladin would be grateful with practically anything, but Collin would definately love something like that!

I'll get started on it. I'll do a short story one for each character's birthday. I'm guessing Collin would like adventure and Kaladin would like a sotry about the outside world.

For Collin: (Happy Birthday)
In a forest many eons ago lived ancient creatures that mobians from long ago told stories of. One of these creatures was the fabled Silver Elk. More rare then unicorn and just as mysterious, the silver elk was thought to have roamed the forest seeking to stay hidden from all.
This story is about one of the mobians who dared to seek out the silver elk.
A youth small for his age, weak of strength but wise in the ways of animals had heard of the creature and it's abilities to grant wishes. The youth did not wish for anything for himself but for a cure for his ailing friend. He knew time was against him to seek out the wish granting creature but if he did not go his friend may not survive.
Before dawn the youth set out into the forest with clothes he wore, a small pack of food, and a blanket for warmth. He walked through the forest for several hours without seeing a single sign of the creature; his hope did not lessen as night came. That night the youth lay awake watching the stars waiting for a sign.
Eventually the youth fell asleep only to be awakened by the sound of an animal scenting nearby. Slowly so as not to scare the creature the youth turned to where the animal grazed.
Lifting it's head the Eohippus* looks over to the youth, "Why are you so far from home?"
The youth looked suprised for never before had a creature spoken to him, "I'm looking for the silver elk my friend is very ill."
"You believe the legend of the wish granter," The Eohippus asks.
"The silver elk is my friend's only hope," The youth answers.
The Eohippus nods once, "The one you seek is very elusive but I can offer a bit of advise to finding it. This forest is alive so listen to what it tells you."
"Thank you Eohippus," The youth offers a wild carrot from his bag, "please accept this gift."
The Eohippus takes the wild carrot from the youth and trots away. Within the time that the Dawn Horse had left the youth had closed his eyes to listen to the voices around him. Far away he heard the cry of an Giant Elk perhaphs the one he had been seeking. Quickly the youth jumps to his feet and runs towards where he had heard the sound. After several hours he finally makes it to the very center of the forest where a giant elk had called out. Only to the youth's disapointment the elk's fur was tawny not silver like he had hoped.
His hope failing the youth decides to try again before going home. Close by the hoofbeats of the Eohippus go towards the youth.
"Why are you so sad," The Eohippus asks.
"I cannot find the Silver Elk and I'm worried about my friend."
The Eohippus nods once taking a step back looking at the youth. Surronding itslf with leaves the Eohippus's voice deepens into that of a Giant Elk. When the leaves clear instead of a Eohippus the fabled Silver Elk stands there, "You are pure of heart and willing to listen to the voice of nature even if you are rash. Your friend will be healed when you return home."
The Silver Elk was good to its word as when the youth returned his friend was healed.

(Dragon I suggest looking to the post above this one for another story)
Happy Birthday Kaladin hope you like this story also the stories in italics are real stories.
For Kaladin:
I'm sure you've heard of Ali Baba, Alidin, and The Enchanted Horse but this is a story which the hourglass of time has forgotten.
In a land far away where the wind blows past the desert sands in a time before the rise of the Roman Empire, there is a story about the most unexpected yet unnamed hero. The desert sands whisper of the tale of a lone traveler seeking out the magic of the a burried tomb. In this tomb houses the key of immortality.
This traveler was not the only seeking out this secret though there were others that sought it out for their own purposes. He thought back to why he taken up this journey.
Under normal circumstances he never would have understaken this journey across the hot desert sands. But these were not normal circumstances. No they were anything except normal. A rumor of an unknown threat had reached the ears of the traveler and the traveler knew if the rumor got the secret havoc would a mild version of the events to come.
Quickly banishing those thoughts from his mind the traveler pressed onward towards the tomb hoping against hope that he was not too late. Looking around the traveler senses that he was not alone anymore. In the distance he saw what he had sensed a mounted figure ahead of him, armed most likely, and waiting for the traveler.
"Ardeth," The traveler asks reconigizing the figure in front of him, "why are you here?"
"Like you I am a Tomb Guardian and have heard the rumor."
The traveler nods once knowing this could be his only chance to beat the rumor to the tomb, "Do you know some secret path which we might take to get there?"
Ardeth shakes his head no, "The secret path which you seek is under the desert sands. Come if we move quickly we can make it to the tomb and seal it once and for all."
The traveler nods once spurring on his camel as Ardeth turns his horse towards the tomb.
After three days and night of hard traveling the duo finally make it to the tomb but alas they are too late. The raiders have been there just molments before the Traveler and Ardeth.
"We are too late," The Traveler frowns discouragged.
"Do not give up hope yet my friend I had a scout watching this place," Ardeth whistles summoning a falcon to him. After speaking a few words to the falcon the bird soars off towards the raiders. The two riders follow the falcon across the desert to a small oasis where the raiders have stopped. Upon nearing the oasis the riders dismount and steathfully go towards the oasis where the raiders are resting. Seeing the scepterthe Traveler creeps over to it carefully removing it from the bag under a raider's hand.
Nodding once to Ardeth the Traveler creeps out of the camp only to be grabbed by the raider, "Give it back and I might be convinced to let you go alive."
The Traveler kicks out at the raider not proud of what he had done but knowing time was of the essence. Ardeth stays behind to distract the raiders while the Traveler rides on alone back towards the tomb.
After a long ride the Traveler makes it back to the tomb. Quickly dismounting he runs inside the tomb to replace the scepter. Just as the sun rises the Traveler is out of the tomb watching a figure in the distance ride towards him. Taking a breath before reciting the incantation the Traveler covers the tomb burrying it forever beneath the desert sands.
Wordlessly Ardeth approaches noting the sandstorm consuming the tomb with the secret of immortality hidden within.
"The desert takes what is rightfully its own," The Traveler replies quietly, "Besides the secret of immortality is not for us mortals."
